Questions and answers

How high is the level of radiation in the Zone? Is it really dangerous to be there?

Hurry assure you that despite the fact that the background radiation in various areas and areas located even in close proximity to each other, may differ several times, there are specially designed safe routes by which radiation is even lower than in Kiev. So, staying in the Chernobyl zone in a company of qualified professionals is safe. In this regard, we strongly recommend you to think twice before turning to unqualified organizers.

How old should I be to visit the Chernobyl exclusion zone?

Entry to the Zone is allowed only to people who are 18+ years old.

What language is the tour in? I am planning to go with a friend, and he speaks only English.

We daily deal with clients who speak different languages. We conduct tours in English, Russian and Ukrainian languages. If the group is multi-lingual, the main part of the tour is conducted in the language of the majority of participants. The minority, though, won’t be bored! The Exclusion Zone is a place where one needs more to personally see and feel. Anyway, our guides speak several languages fluently. So, s/he will repeat the main parts of the tour program for the minority who usually sit closer to the guide. This way, it is possible to ask questions if something is not clear. Besides, you can order an interpreter who will translate everything into your mother tongue throughout the day. The cost of this service is 2000 UAH (75 USD) / day and can be divided into a number of participants who need such a service.

In fact, you don’t need to have special clothes, footwear or protective gear to visit the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
